Vamac

VAMAC G

Vamac  G is a terpolymer of ethylene,
methylacrylate, and a cure site monomer cured using an amine-based vulcanization system.
This gum elastomer includes a small amount of processing aid, and has a nominal specific gravity of 1.03. It has a mild acrylic odor.
Use adequate ventilation during storage, mixing, and processing to prevent accumulation of residual vapors. Storage stability is excellent.

VAMAC GLS

DuPont™ Vamac® GLS is a terpolymer of ethylene, methylacrylate, and a cure site monomer cured using a diamine-based vulcanization system.
Compared with Vamac® G, Vamac® GLS offers significantly improved resistance to oil swell  and chemicals such as diesel fuel. Vamac® GLS elastomer contains a small amount of processing aid and has a
specific gravity of 1.06.
It has a mild acrylic odor.
Storage stability  is excellent.

VAMAC ULTRA LS

Vamac® Ultra LS is a high viscosity version of Vamac® GLS. A primary goal for the development of this grade was to provide a product having improved performance in injection molding processes compared to Vamac® GLS to reduce the frequency of mold cleaning.

The high viscosity of Vamac® Ultra LS compared to standard AEM grades results in better mixing, provided mixing conditions are adapted to requirements of polymers with higher viscosity. Increased green strength of compounds helps to avoid collapse during extrusion processes.
The optimized polymer structure ensures gains in physical properties, resulting in improved performance of rubber parts such as seals, dampers and extruded hoses.

  1. Ethylene Acrylic Elastomer Pricing supplies in the North American region were better in Q2 despite continued production lags due to extended delays in the plant start up maintaining supply side pressure. Stronger upstream and downstream operations raised the market sentiments in Q2. The regional price uptrend remained buoyed by high upstream costs and squeezed market supplies. DuPont surged the production rates at its AEM rubber facilities as the enquiries were consistent and the orders were piled up since the previous quarter.
