Rubber balls
Rubber Balls
Rubber balls are
spherical shaped balls having varied applications. Right from a small toy ball
to large industrial applications, the use of rubber balls is seen. They are
used as check or ball valves, bearings, and in other applications. Rubber as an
elastomeric material is a synthetic or processed material that can be shaped
into many forms. The balls are manufactured in a number of different colors and
elastomers/rubber types, depending on the application.
Types of Rubber Balls
Rubber balls are of various types depending on
their area of applications. There are molded rubber balls, precision ground
balls which are manufactured as per exact specifications. The commercial grade
rubber balls are produced as per industrial requirements.

Uses of Rubber Balls
Rubber balls are used for a wide variety of
uses like for screen cleaning and screen de-blinding, air restriction, check
valves. Rubber balls are used in FDA uses, for games and sports, for light
load-bearing applications. There are rubber balls used in the flow control and
flow meter applications in the pharmaceutical, food and chemical processing
industries. For eliminating chatter or vibration in cabinetry, rubber balls
are used.
Properties of Rubber Ball
Depending on the
rubber material, there are different properties of rubber balls. However, most
rubber balls are manufactured with one or more of the following properties:
·
Soft
·
Limited in heat
resistance than metals, ceramics, glasses, or carbides
·
Have good electrical
insulation properties
·
Good self-lubricating
properties
·
High degree of
flexibility and elasticity
High reversible elongation
