VITON B

Viton B is a fluoroelastomer terpolymer of the “B- family” from DuPont Dow Elastomers. It has
better fluid resistance, and retains flexibility better after dry heat aging than polymers of the Viton A
family. It is recommended for applications requiring maximum retention of elastic properties combined with good mechanical properties. A low viscosity analog of Viton B, identified as Viton B-50, is also available.

The Difference in the thermal expansion of the mold material result in shrink rate Shrink Rate= ( Cavity dimension- Part Length)/ Cavity dimension) (Typical units in/in) This shrinkage value is applied to the desired finished part size to “scale up” the cavity.
