Neoprene Rubber.


Chloroprene  is the common name for the organic compound  2-chlorobuta-1,3-diene, which has the formula CH2=CCl−CH=CH2. 
Neoprene is same as the chloroprene which is nothing but the brand name of Dupont.

Chloroprene is represented by the CR
Neoprene is produced by free radical polymerization of chloroprene.
Chloroprene Rubber is marketed in various brands now like Denkaprene(Denka), Bayprene(Lanxess)
Various grades of Neoprene are available based on crystallization,Mooney ,Gel content.

The Difference in the thermal expansion of the mold material result in shrink rate Shrink Rate= ( Cavity dimension- Part Length)/ Cavity dimension) (Typical units in/in) This shrinkage value is applied to the desired finished part size to “scale up” the cavity.
