U cup seals
U Cup Seals:
U-Cup Seals or U-Ring Seals are commonly used in linear applications to seal the rod or piston.
Loaded U-Cups, Non loaded U-Cups, Hydraulic or Pneumatic U-Cups.
The function of a cup seal, or U cup piston seal is to contain pressure on one side of a piston without leakage, and allowing maximum effort to be applied to moving the piston along the bore of a cylinder. It is also referred as lip seals, u ring seals are one of the oldest seal designs.
U cup have flared outer lips that work to create an exceptional seal for low pressure and low speed applications with consistently steady movement. U ring seals are often used for sealing rods and are simple to work.
The general material using for U cup seals are polyurethane.
